Sewing? WTF R U talking about asumka (that is NOT how you spell it! Pronounce, yes, spell NO!)
When I use the word 'sewing' to describe what I am doing, it will mean that I have to take pieces of something, in this case a web page, and put them back the way they once were. Now, you might be wondering why I must do this. The answer is simple, not unlike the spelling of my name.
Archive.org is a great site, but it has an akilies heel: BACKGROUND IMAGES!
Yes, if any of you have tried to view any of NG's old pages on archive.org, you were met with a lot of missing images. It's not archive.org's fault, it's NG's fault for deleting everything with the redesign.
Now, thanks to that, I have to go around and look for screen shots of what it is I'm working to put back together, and Photoshop them to remove any content I don't want, like text over a background image. It is a painstakingly slow process thus leading it to take up a good portion of my very valuable time. Why is it that I put myself through this? The answer if for you.
I know that archive.org now sucks for NG related looking back on, so I try and fill in what they missed.
EDN!
